Jean Creech Avent, MS

Our Vice President of Communications, Jean has worked to redefine and enhance communications for companies like yours for nearly 20 years. She joins Write2Market after her role as Vice President of Marketing & Communications for Georgian Bank. Jean started her career on the agency side in New York City, and then went in-house with Arthur Andersen LLP as Global Public Relations Manager. She is the host of the syndicated radio show for entrepreneurs, Bold Ventures.  Jean holds a Master of Science degree in Communication Management from Syracuse University (New York).

Gary Bevers

From his Houston office, Vice President of Client Service Gary Bevers is the former publisher of National Petroleum News and winner of Exxon’s PRIME Marketing Award of Excellence. A frequent contributor to OPIS, NACS, Sigma and other authoritative publications in the energy space, Gary Bevers serves as Executive Chair on API’s PIDX Technology committee and leads Write2Market’s energy, oil and gas focus area. He brings over 26 years of experience in upstream exploration, downstream petroleum marketing, and logistics technology to Write2Market clients.

Julianna Bowman, MA

Julianna is a media professional with a mission—driving results for her clients. She mastered the art of public relations in her previous tenure with Edelman and Cohn & Wolfe, where her national account experience included mega-accounts like Starbucks, InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), Tiffany & Co. and Lowe’s, as well as numerous smaller organizations she helped make headlines for, such as Cirque du Soleil and the Georgia Aquarium. Julianna holds a Masters in Communications Studies, Magna cum Laude, and will join Write2Market’s media relations and strategic content development practice.

Lisa Calhoun, MBA

Lisa Calhoun founded Write2Market in 2003 and has developed the writing agency into one of the country’s leading content development authorities. Write2Market’s client roster now ranges from dynamic mid market businesses like Prenova to household names like Kaiser Permanente and UPS.  Lisa pursued a degree in professional writing from Baylor University on National Merit Scholarship and graduated summa cum laude in 1994. Her first position was with a small San Antonio ad agency as a copywriter, which led to working with BBDO and Ogilvy Worldwide in Manhattan. Lisa received her MBA from University of Texas with honors in 2003.  Lisa serves on the Atlanta Chapter board of Entrepreneur’s Organization, a global network of 7,000 entrepreneurs in 38 countries. She and her colleagues at Write2Market also help raise funds for LLS, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, to offset expensive treatments and help find a cure for blood cancers.

Michael Copeland

Michael Copeland makes his home part time in Brazil, part time in Atlanta. Before joining Write2Market, he wrote and edited technical documentation for Scientific Games and the Georgia Department of Transportation. Michael brings a thoroughness to everything he does and keeps the Atlanta team jealous with a constant stream of pictures from Rio.

Jason Crain

Well rounded and yet thorough, Jason is a research demon that loves to teach with his writing talent. With a training background courtesy of Portion Pack, his former employer, he came to the attention of Write2Market because he voiced the desire to be a top business writer loudly and often. After interning with Write2Market, he was hired in 2009 and focuses primarily on Write2Market’s energy public relations practice.

Casey Fiesler, MS

One of 15 recipients of the 2009 Burton Award alongside screenwriter David E Kelly and Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, Casey is a master of many kinds of writing craftwork. Armed with a masters in computer science from Georgia Tech as well as a law degree from Vanderbilt, Casey brings a unique blend of  real-world technology and business sense to Write2Market projects. Poised to advise clients on a variety of topics, she’s an able writer whose capable blend of both business and technology powers marketing campaigns for major global brands, including WiPro/Infocrossing, Consumer Credit Counseling Service, Infosurv, and Genuine Auto Parts/NAPA.

AJ Gill

Backed by a degree from Harvard University cum laude, Amanda brings a wealth of journalistic experience to Write2Market clients. A former aide at NPR’s National Desk in Washington DC, she has also established her credentials with a three year stint at The New York Review of Books. Her work has been published in The Coastal Observer and The Harvard Crimson, among other credits. She joins Write2Market as a writer in our non-profit and environmental public relations practices.

Stephen Lashley

Stephen Lashley is a brand strategist who has built his career building mindshare for businesses like yours. His expertise lies in honing heavy concepts into a simple value that identifies with a prospect’s needs. He’s written for many of the country’s leading technology brands. Stephen is one of Atlanta’s top freelance writers and has been working with Write2Market for three years while also supporting his own direct client roster.

Miles Thomason

In today’s competitive world,  even writers have to get geeky--and when they do, there’s Miles Thomason. Write2Market’s extensive network of writers and editors is supported by custom software that keeps us in step with clients and each other. Many of our web copywriting projects requrie interfacing with our clients’ databases and content management systems (CMS)--or even creating custom CMS. A Georgia Tech graduate with honors in computer science, Miles is chief technologist at Write2Market. His interests include AI and in his spare time, he works on modeling AI systems that emulate successful writing or successful editing automatically. Miles is also the founder and CEO of Levia Software, an Atlanta software development company that specializes in streamlining businesses by automating tedious, costly tasks.In his spare time, find him rebuilding his Karman Ghia or learning violin.

Melissa Thomas-Dubois, MA

A former Write2Market employee, Melissa now works on an as-needed basis as one of Write2Market’s regular stable of contractors. Melissa has twenty years of communications experience, primarily in broad healthcare and automotive service business writing. Melissa writes award-winning children’s fiction when she’s not creating powerhouse campaigns for W2M clients.
