Atlanta, Ga. — Nov. 23, 2009 — Lisa Calhoun, founder and CEO of Write2market, a national content development company headquartered in Atlanta, announced today the appointment of Jean Creech Avent, a veteran media relations professional, as Vice President of Communications.

“This new position was created to respond to the needs of our existing client base, which is comprised of Fortune 1000 companies,” Calhoun said. “Jean will be primarily responsible for helping our clients leverage media relations as a strategic business tool, and overseeing the efforts of our public relations practice area.”

Jean has worked in the communications field for nearly 20 years, having recently worked as Vice President of Marketing & Communications for Georgian Bank. She started her career on the agency side in New York City, and then went in-house with Arthur Andersen LLP as Global Public Relations Manager. She holds a Master of Science degree in Communication Management from Syracuse University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Converse College.

“Most of the communications channels being used in business today by executives, as well as reporters, require compelling writing married to compelling ideas,” Calhoun concludes. “Being a market leader in creating communications that get noticed and create results is why clients and journalists work with Write2Market. I am confident that Jean’s experience will enhance our efforts.”
